Akash embarked on his career in the energy management industry in 2004. As an electronics engineer, he fell in love with Controllers – not the humans, the hardware that controls equipment! After receiving his MBA in Denver, CO, Akash relocated to the South Shore and spent fifteen years with an organization where he dedicated himself to growing the business. Akash enjoys playing tennis and is an avid reader. Uniquely, he doesn’t have cable and watches only an hour of TV a week!

William Curran
Lead Engineer
William has been in the controls industry since 1994, bringing three decades of hands-on technical expertise and problem-solving to every project. He joined Cox in September 2024 after a 23-year career with the Boston office of a national controls firm, where he advanced from Field Technician to Project Manager and ultimately into Engineering. His broad experience across field operations, project delivery, and system design gives him a uniquely well-rounded perspective in the evolving world of building controls. Outside of work, William is all about family time — his wife, their four kids, two daughters-in-law, and a first grandchild arriving in January. He’s also an avid outdoors enthusiast who loves bicycle touring, mountain biking, hiking, and skiing. And when he’s not on a trail or slope, he’s likely in the kitchen cooking something good.
Adam Herman
Integration Manager
Adam’s career began in 1996 when he joined the U.S. Navy and served as a Fire Control Technician aboard the USS Mobile Bay (CG-53), stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. After six years of service, he returned to the U.S. to pursue a degree in Information Technology—an experience that ultimately led him to discover the world of HVAC controls. Adam launched his second career in 2005 as a Project Specialist in San Diego, where he gained hands-on experience with building automation and system integration. In 2025, he joined Cox as the CES Integration Manager, where he currently leads and supports all controls technicians. He’s passionate about growing the group, strengthening the team’s technical capabilities, and embracing Cox’s core values as the controls division expands. Outside of work, Adam stays busy with his kids’ after-school activities and enjoys cycling, hiking, and — thanks to persistent coworkers — is slowly being pulled into the world of pickleball.

Jeremiah Rogers
Project Manager
Jeremiah has been immersed in the controls industry since 1997, when he graduated from a trade school in Washington with a focus on Instrumentation and Industrial Electronics. Over the years, he has built deep technical expertise across building automation, system integration, and project delivery. He joined Cox Engineering in March 2021 as a Mechanical Project Manager, and when Cox launched its own controls division, Jeremiah was a natural fit — bringing both hands-on experience and a strong understanding of how mechanical and controls systems work together. Outside of work, Jeremiah is passionate about music — both playing it and discovering new artists. He also enjoys pickleball and tackling home improvement projects, always finding something to build, fix, or upgrade.
